Team search all night for missing man
On the evening of Friday 14th June, North East Wales Search and Rescue were contacted by the police to search for a missing person.
At 11pm, volunteer members of NEWSAR were deployed into areas around Llangollen. The search parties were directed by two of the team’s search managers who were working closely with North Wales Police from a team control vehicle at the scene.
Once the search parties had returned from their initial areas, NEWSAR were joined by two SARDA Wales dog handlers and their dogs who were each assigned a NEWSAR navigator. The search parties, including one of the team’s Land Rovers, were then redeployed.
The team were also assisted by a RAF Search and Rescue Sea King Helicopter.
All search parties were stood down at 6.20 am, Saturday 15th June.
