Search for and Rescue of two walkers – Sunday 16/12/2012
This evening the team carried out a short search and extraction of a pair of walkers from a wooded area, after one of them suffered a potentially serious medical emergency. Once they were located the person who had become ill was examined by a Welsh Ambulance Service paramedic and it was agreed that their condition did not require any further treatment and they were then discharged.
A short call out, which was made much shorter as we were able to accurately locate their position using the SARLOC system developed by Mountain Rescue volunteer Russ Hore. See details here.
