NEWSAR raises a glass to the Pen y Bont Farm pub in Mold

Thanks very much to the staff at the Marstons Pen y Bont Farm pub in Mold who raised an amazing £312.13 as part of Marstons Give Back Week fundraising activities.

Becki Jones, Assistant Manager of the Pen y Bont Farm, told North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) Fundraising Officer Paul Haslam that the week long activities included a wine tasting evening, face painting and even a pyjama day for the staff! All staff at the pub participated in the activities which culminated in a performance by King of Swing, Andy Bailey, on Saturday night.

Paul Haslam expressed his gratitude on behalf of NEWSAR and said “Support such as that from Pen y Bont Farm means our volunteers are able to continue helping our community whenever we are asked, and for this we are truly grateful. I can assure you that every penny you raised will be put to good use maintaining or buying the specialist equipment or clothing that NEWSAR needs to do the job.”
