Kizzy Whitehurst Search June 2016
23 NEWSAR volunteers were involved in search planning and ground searches for two days for Kizzy Whitehurst who was reported missing from the Tarporley area in Cheshire on Monday 6th June. Kizzy was located safe and well earlier today (Thursday 9th June).
We were happy to support our Lowland Rescue colleagues in Cheshire Search and Rescue and of course Cheshire Constabulary.
Volunteer teams came together from around the North West and North Wales to deliver a concerted search effort.
The picture taken on Wednesday evening shows just a small portion of the vehicles deployed from Bolton Mountain Rescue, NEWSAR, RAF Mountain Rescue, Wooodhead Mountain Rescue and Staffordshire Search and Rescue.
Also present were teams from Buxton Mountain Rescue, Derby Mountain Rescue, Oldham Mountain Rescue, Kinder Mountain Rescue, Merseyside Search and Rescue and search dogs from England and Wales. The Salvation Army came over from Manchester to feed and water us all too. Apologies if we’ve missed anyone out – there were so many teams around. Let us know and we will add you to our list.
