Flood readiness

Early on Thursday morning NEWSAR was asked to prepare to assist North Wales Police with their activities dealing with the recent significant rainfall and associated potential flooding.The team has remained at heightened readiness for the last 36 hours and is still available to assist if needed.At our request all the other North Wales Mountain Rescue Association teams invoked well rehearsed plans to come over to assist in NE Wales should the need arise.Fortunately our assistance was not needed with large scale property flooding, although our thoughts are with those people who have experienced damage to their homes.File pictures from water rescue practice.
