CALLOUT Water Rescues around Holt
Thursday was another day of water rescue activity working with North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service
First task was to evacuate a lady from a remote property near the River Dee, east of Wrexham Industrial Estate. It involved a team paddling our rescue raft for over half a mile to the house, across the massive area flooded by the river. Then the casualty was carefully collected and brought back to safety. Thanks again to a local man who provided tea!
Following this we were tasked to wait at a multi agency holding area in Holt. We carried out some door to door reassurance activity with NWP and NWFRS. Fortunately after several hours water levels slowly began to fall and we were stood down.
