CALLOUT 17/22: Separated and lost walkers in the Berwyn Mountains

CALLOUT: Earlier this evening North Wales Police asked us to assist two walkers who had become separated from each other on the Berwyn Mountains high above Pistyll Rhaeadr. The one who called 999 couldn’t find their way off. We had an approximate location from their 999 call, but couldn’t get through to speak to them to confirm exactly where they were. Given the weather and the darkness the team deployed with two Landrovers and our Incident Control Van, expecting a potentially protracted search.

As we were on the way the good news was received that they had managed to get down safely and our team members stood down.

We have used quite a lot of diesel…. would you like to help to fund it? Follow the link below. https://newsar.org.uk/fundraising/donation/
