CALLOUT 8/23: Injured Mountain Biker, Cilcain

At lunchtime today, an initial call to the Welsh Ambulance Service, was passed to North Wales Police, who called out NEWSAR to assist a man who was possibly seriously injured following a Mountain Biking incident near Cilcain, Mold.

Team members attended with two Landrovers. It was quickly identified that the casualty needed rapid evacuation to hospital. This led to a request for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter from Caernarfon. The casualty was carried a short way to the helicopter before being flown to hospital. Get well soon.

Thanks to the casualty's friend who provided excellent information, which sped up the response.
