CALLOUT 79/22: Fallen climber near Meliden

On Saturday the team was called by North Wales Police to assist a fallen climber in a disused quarry near Meliden. The climber had taken a long fall and we initially feared he may have significant injuries. After on scene assessment it appeared he had only injured his lower leg/ankle and sustained a rope burn to his hand. He was given pain relief, his leg was splinted and he was carried out on our stretcher to a point where he could be transported to hospital by family members. As you can see from the pictures, the quarry face is very high!
