CALLOUT 30/23: Teenager stuck on cliffs near Dyserth

On Wednesday evening we were asked by North Wales Police to assist a teenager who had become stuck on very steep ground near Dyserth.

In order to reach the casualty we used a twin tension technical rope rescue system to lower a team member 140 metres down broken ground and cliffs. The casualty was then attached to the rope system and raised back to the top and reunited with their family.

For the technically minded, this is possibly the first time we have had to use "knot passing" operationally. Most of the crags in our area can be

dealt with using our 100 metre lengths.

As a bonus it was a lovely sunset!
