CALLOUT 3/23: Injured Mountain Biker
At lunchtime on Saturday the team was contacted by North Wales Police following the report of a potentially badly injured mountain biker at Llandegla Forest.
Team members responded in two Landrovers to near the incident site, which was deep in the woodland. The casualty was provided with pain relief and splinting, before being stretchered to an open area where they could be winched aboard a HM Coastguard helicopter to be taken to hospital.
Thanks to the people who first came across the casualty, including a local retired Paramedic, who is also an ex-NEWSAR Team member. They provided important information and initial first aid.
