Call out for injured young walker – Bodfari 4/1/2013

The Team completed a quick call out near Bodfari this afternoon.

A young person with a lower leg injury was “sledged” down off a hill side above the village using our specialist mountain stretcher to a waiting Ambulance. The Casualty has been taken to hospital to have their injury examined in more detail. Whilst not likely to be serious, it was however very painful.

The people with them did the right thing and called 999 and asked for Police, then Mountain Rescue which ensured we were called out as we have the appropriate equipment to move someone from a hillside.

We wish the Casualty a speedy recovery.
