Broken ankle on Rodney’s Pillar
We were called at lunch time on New Year’s Day by Dyfed Powys Police to assist with the rescue of a woman with a suspected broken ankle on Rodney’s Pillar, just NE of Welshpool. As we arrived we got the good news that a local gamekeeper had provided 4×4 access to near the summit for the Welsh Ambulance Service crew who also attended. They were able to extract the casualty using the gamekeepers vehicle and we stood down.
