In the late afternoon of Thursday 12th June NEWSAR team members were called by North Wales Police to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service. This followed reports that a person had been injured in a fall in the Berwyn Mountains east of Llandrillo. As they had a reported back injury a helicopter was considered the fastest and most appropriate way to evacuate them.
The Welsh Air Ambulance sent a helicopter to the site and conveyed the casualty to hospital.
