4×4 stuck on Horseshoe Pass

Late on Friday 24th May, NEWSAR were alerted to four males lost above the Horseshoe Pass.

The men, from the Coedpoeth area, had become stuck in a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

The group had been identified by a Police helicopter and their location, near Moel Morfydd, was relayed to the team.

Comminication was established with the stranded group and nine team members, in two of our Land Rovers, were deployed to their location.

Just before arriving on scene we received a message from the group saying that they had found their way back to the Ponderosa cafe on the main road.

Our volunteer team members met with them at that location and confirmed that they were all well apart from a little cold and tired.
