28/13 – Search for missing Flintshire man
North Wales Police have stepped up their search for a Flintshire man who has been missing since Tuesday and called for our assistance on Saturday 27th April.
19 of our volunteer team members and two SARDA, Search and Rescue Dog Association, dog handlers, with a trailing dog, were tasked to search areas around Moel Famau, on the Clwydian Range. Saturday’s search concluded at night fall and resumed Sunday morning. 15 NEWSAR members were assisted by 11 Cheshire Search and Rescue team members and two SARDA air scenting dogs and their respective handlers.
After an extensive search of the area, all three organisations were stood down at 18.30 on Sunday 28th and await further information from North Wales Police that will enable NEWSAR to focus on further search areas.
