NEWSAR volunteers visit the #findyourepic sculpture

On Thursday evening NEWSAR team members went for a walk to visit the #findyourepic sculpture at Coed Llandegla, nr. Wrexham, before it moves on Monday 9th August.  All NEWSAR team members enjoy EPIC adventures here in Wales and we are pleased to see a campaign to attract more visitors to our local hills and across Wales.  We have wonderful mountains and hills, including the Clwydians, Llantysilio Mountains and the Berwyn range. We want everyone to have a fun time out there, safe in the knowledge that there are dedicated teams of volunteers able to assist if the adventure gets a bit too exciting!

NEWSAR encourages visitors to have great day out and the best way to do that is to be properly equipped, with waterproof and warm buy ambien clothing, map and navigation equipment which you know how to use and knowledge of the forecast weather so you can plan accordingly.

If you do need assistance in the hills a fully charged mobile phone can be invaluable, but bear in mind that mobile signal is not always available in the hills.

To obtain help in an emergency in the hills dial 999 and ask for Police, then Mountain Rescue.  The team relevant to your location will then be called to assist you.

Further safety information is available from the Mountain Safe Partnership
